Hello, friends especially foodies!
Last Saturday I accompanied mom to meet her neurologist and also got her EMG test, it was a test to know her neuropathy. From there, it was late as usually for lunch, we right away went to the shopping center in the center of our city, it was because mom needed to take her new glasses. Because it had been late for lunch and we hadn’t got any food for lunch, we right away went to the Food Court which was located on the 5th floor. Why we went to their food court? Because it had many food to choose and also we craved for the steak sold there.
Oh la la, when we arrived we were surprise because the food court was full. Even full, this food court always clean and neat. Due to their number of customers, we couldn’t sit close to the stall where we would like to order food. Fortunately not too far, we found a table for us, quite large cause actually it could use by four persons. Mom sat there, while me, I got another job to order and buy our lunch.
Look at the customers near the food stall, no wonder, if you miss the steak in the food court, you could only come to this stall.
I needed to wait for a couple of time because some other customers came there before me. The food stall was not large but was quite popular.
The menu that they offered were kind of steaks, like chicken steak, chicken grill, salmon steak, sheriff steak, wagyutaki steak, sirloin steak, smokey beef ribs, rib eye steak, sirloin steak, T-bone steak, round steak, and tenderloin steak.
They also had some rice menus like jujuyaki steak, amiyaki steak, chicken strips, gyutan don and crispy chicken mentai. For the soup sides they had Hungarian goulash and sweet corn soup. They also sold rice, mashed potatoes or fries plus some beverages which were just tea, juice, mineral water, milo, tea and coffee.
They had not many kind of beverages to choose so I preferred to buy us some beverages or desserts from other stall. Now after I ordered I paid, the cashier couldn’t suggest any when I asked her what to choose between their chicken steak and grill, she only said it depended on our taste and the different between them were just the way to make it, for steak they fried the chicken (which was weird, I thought), while for the grill they grilled the chicken like they did to their beef steak. So I bought their sirloin beef steak and also a chicken grill. It costed us 142K or around 9.7 USD for two portions of them.
I should wait and then took the order to our table by myself, then I went to our favorite ramen stall to buy us some beverages. I took the ocha myself then I am sorry I only had time to take their menu picture because my hands were full. After took it I went to my table.
Ta da, here was our late lunch
We had beef steak (sirloin steak), chicken steak (a.k.a grill), strawberry slushed ice and also cold ocha. All of them looked so tasty and make our mouth watering! Mom and I shared all the food and beverages so we could taste each of them well.
Now let me tell you one by one of the taste and flavour of each we had that day… I would start from their
BEEF STEAK
Not a big portion one, it was maybe just around 100-150 grams of sirloin beef which was grilled and then poured by their authentic mushroom sauce. It had tasty savory flavour with only a bit of sweet flavour. The texture of the beef was not soft nor hard, it only had two areas near the border which were too chewy hard to bite. But overall it could be well eaten. It served with tasty fries and also boiled veggies of corn, carrot and green bean.
Next we also had their
CHICKEN STEAK (or GRILL, like what they say)
Also not a big portion one, it was as the same size of the beef steak. The chicken had savory flavour but the brown sauce that poured on it had the sweet savory flavour. So it had sweet savory flavour. Like the beef steak, it also served with tasty fries and boiled veggies of corn, carrot and green bean.
And I would like also share about the dessert and drink we had
STRAWBERRY SLUSHED ICE
It had strawberry syrup with the slushed ice with smooth vanilla single scoop ice cream on the top. It had sweet and reminded me of the ice seller in front of my elementary school. I thought it would be more fresh if they put some fresh strawberry to it, how do you think of my idea?
And also we had ordinary
FREE FLOW COLD OCHA
It chilled but had a bit weird taste and flavour of ocha, not one of I recommend from the stall.
Anyway for the ice and ocha we only paid 13K IDR or not even a USD!!!
After finished with the taste of all let the battle between the two main dishes begin!
The things that I would like to battle and compare between them were..
The Look, I think they had a quite similar look which were all made us want to eat them, what do you think?
Next I would like to talk about the softness and tenderness, of course chicken was the winner because it was soft and easier to cut…………….
But let the taste and flavour be the king, because it was the only one I care about in all the food I take…
Even they marinated the chicken well but the tasty savory of their marinated beef steak was the best, no wonder we were so in love with their beef steak. You should try it too!
