Hello, friends especially foodies!

It is a rainy day today, here from the morning, the rain already welcomed us and I needed to wake up cause I needed to work from the office.. Rain always reminds me of meatballs, yes, maybe you asked me why? Cause it would be so contradictive with the weather, I mean in a cold rainy day, who won’t need a bowl of hot meatballs… Yes, last weekend in the rainy day like today, mom and I had the legendary meatballs at home. We didn’t buy it ourselves, but we ordered it online.

The Menu

The legendary modest food stall which sold it only had meatballs menu but it was a legendary, many people come to their modest place, a modest canteen near the parking area, like we did, a couple of months ago, but during this pandemic it would be smarter to eat them at home, wouldn’t it? Here were the menu they offered

• Mixed meatballs – which means you could get their ordinary little meatballs with the rough and smooth textures, mixed with the tofu meat ball and also noodle plus some vegetables (green lettuce and bean sprouts).

• Tendon meatballs – a large tendon meatball with ordinary little meatballs.

• Egg meatballs – a large boiled egg filling meaball with ordinary little meatballs.

• Ordinary meatballs – only their little meatballs.

Only 4 menus, all of them were meatballs. Oh anyway there, you could also asked for the beef fats or in Indonesian it is called tetelan for the meatballs we ordered.

The Price

I ordered their egg meatballs for us, it was 64K IDR for two portions of it and it was around 4.5 USD. How do you think about the price?

The Food and The Look

After had ordered it we needed to wait around 30-40 minutes to have it at home. And here how it looked

Aren’t they look so delicious? The meatballs came weith the vegetable and we put some chilli sauce and a bit chilli paste on it. The seller already put the sweet soy sauce there so it was a bit brown.

The Taste and The Flavour

Now let me tell you about the flavour of them

A portion included of the beef fat we asked (the white ones), some of them were soft but some were hard, so we wouldn’t be able to finish them all. It was chewy and I didn’t know have you ever tried it?
The small meatballs they gave had the savory flavour, chewy but soft and had savory flavour. Our favorite was the large one, cause it had a whole boiled egg inside and also it had the soft meatball outer, so great. The real flavour of all was savory and we gave the chilli there to bring some spicy, sweet and sour flavour. So if you asked me, how did the flavour, it had it all, from savory, sweet, sour until spicy. It made us full for the tea time. And it was one of the legendary you should bring home too!
