Hello, friends especially foodies!

If you already followed my account and read two my recent articles you must know where we had lunch last Saturday.. Yes we had our lunch in Blok M area which also well known as the little Tokyo here. This was a center of Japanese culture in my city, where you could find many of Japanese restaurants and also Japanese supermarkets. Anyway, in this area, there was a shopping center, that was connected directly to the subway station. So after reached there, we were doing a bit shopping then went to our favorite restaurant to have the tastiest Japanese udon..

THE OUTLOOK

From the outside you could see that this restaurant had quite large dining area.

Some customers were inside, and also a bit for you to know information, this restaurant had many branches here in my city, but you must come to this branch to taste the real tasty and fresh Japanese Udon.

THE MENU

Like usually this restaurant had some banners of their new menu, or promotions.

It had some budgeting packages for two persons, and their new menu, that was so spicy. You could taste the spiciness until 15th level. As you could see in the pictures, they also hung their menu at the top, where we could choose their kind of udon, from kind of zaru udon, chicken udon, beef udon, or udon signature.

There they also had some tempuras, from yasai, ebi until egg. Yes I was a bit surprised cause they boiled the egg then wrapped it with tempura crunchy skin then fried it.

THE MAKING PROCESS

After we ordered our favorite NIKU UDON, the seller weighted our udon, then put them on each bowl. After that, she put the soup then the beef slices topping. She also put the Chinese leek and some fried crunchy tempura flour, before she put that also in mine, I had said to her please not to put any of it on my bowl. I didn’t like any flour things put in soup cause it would be not crunchy and a NAY for me..

THE PAYING TIME

After got our orders, we then right away gone to the cashier table to pay. Mom paid with the debit card and also we asked them to put our orders in our table because it was heavy, their bowls were made from ceramic and it was heavy.

THE SITUATION AROUND

There they had a quite large dining area, cozy and also had the condiment stall where you could take the tempura sauce, sliced chilli, chilli powder, free flow ocha, chopsticks and others.

There they also limited the number of their customers for only 50% of its’ maximum capacity. So you don’t need to worry about it.

THE FOOD & THE OUTLOOK

Here was how our lunch looked

20220224_074728.jpg

We had two of our favorite NIKU UDON, and a portion of KAKIAGE TEMPURA (vegetable tempura). Like usually both mom and I put the sliced chilli and chilli powder to our udon, and took shoyu for the tempura because we didn’t like their thick sweet tempura sauce. How about our food looked? Could you see how tasty they were?

THE TASTE & THE FLAVOUR

I would like to share first about our favorite

#NIKU UDON

20220224_074759.jpg

Udon they handmade was fresh. It was chewy, soft and smelled so good, you could taste that they made it really well, the best you could get here, no place had this kind of udon, even their other branch. The sliced beef toppings were soft and also tasty. This udon with the topping and also soup had the savory and sweet flavour, as you know, we put the sliced chilli and chilli powder to get a bit spicy flavour. The udon there was fantastic and you know the tastiest!

KAKIAGE TEMPURA

20220224_074825.jpg

This sliced vegetables tempura contained carrot and sweet potato. It was crunchy but soft, not hot but still delicious. This was also one of the best kakiage you could find, no place sold kakiage like this place, not even their other branches… another must try menu from this restaurant!

THE PRICE

It was 133K IDR or around 9.25 USD for two bowls of niku udon and kakiage tempura, not overprice we thought, for their tasty flavour.
