RE: World Turbulence and Crypto: Returning to Some Old Assumptions

Well, I absolutely agree that Hive matters, and that this will continue to be an interesting and valid project for many years to come. But I am also preparing myself for the possibility that one day I

RE: World Turbulence and Crypto: Returning to Some Old Assumptions

Well, yes... it is pretty much true of life, as a whole. I have always been someone who has sought out oases of stability, but such an idea seems more and more obsolete in the current world. Seems like

RE: Getting started with PolyCub on Polygon: a short walk through of setting up the metamask wallet, adding tokens to metamask wallet and adding tokens to Sushiswap, plus sending Leo to Polygon as pLEO via wrap.

Thank you for this! Extremely useful because it gathers all the bits and pieces in a single place, and clearly spells out the steps required. I was excited about the promise of POLYCUB, but the whole process

RE: No Middle Class

Along similar lines, I'd also submit that the idea of "social/class mobility" is pretty much a myth. The chances that a given person — no matter how hard working — will move from the lower to

RE: 🍆 🍅 More Ways to Eat Garden Zucchini: Tray Bake Ratatouille 🐀 with A Smoked Almond, Pepita and Plant Based Fetta Crumb & White Beans 🍅🍅

Always on the lookout for things to do with zucchini... we seem to get a bumper crop, no matter how many (or few) plants we have, and every now and then we miss a few that grow into enormous 2-3kg honkers.

RE: Swamped and Struggling- Sociology 101

As an "old fart", one of the meta observations I'd like to kick in is that coffee shops over the past 50 years or so seem to have traded places with "going to a bar at the end of the day"

RE: Creative Coin Fund Investor Report: How to Collaborate on CCC Price

It's really great to see CreativeCoin thriving again! And in spite of the distribution SNAFU, I really hope the Writer's Token goes somewhere, as well!

RE: Life 101: Closing the Gap Between What We MUST Do and What We WANT to Do

Along similar lines, I'm Danish but live in the US. Whenever I am back in Denmark I spend far less money there than I do here. I know a number of US expats who lived overseas for many years and then returned

Looks lovely! Beautiful garden you have there. Can't wait to get going on our garden, but we still have a lot of cold days to come; snow in the forecast for Monday, and we have to wait until April to be

Much wow... so many tokens! I'm sure he'll have lots of fun if he ever wanted to actually SELL any of those tokens... Kinda embarrased that he's even a fellow countryman of mine,,,

RE: Septic Shock... A Real-Life Adventure in Sovereignty

Ah yes, the joy of septic systems. We're in need of a pumping here, as well. I have become well-versed in the shitty business of hosing the filters on the outlet side and backwashing the main pipe from

Humans! It never ceases to amaze me just how many humans — little and large — come across as if they were raised by wolves. And that's actually an insult to wolves, everywhere. Mostly, I think the vast

RE: They don't teach this in school

Wise and thoughtful words, as always! What do schools really teach us? They teach us how to follow a schedule, how to be somewhere on-time, how to be obedient, how to take tests. I have a very nice University

Ah yes, one of my favorite quotes! Jiddu Krishnamurti: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” It was my email signature line for many years. It is one of the thing

That 7-cent stamp with the goose was one of the very first Canadian stamps I got, as a kid. Growing up in faraway Denmark, Canada seemed soooo far away, and so exciting and exotic! It's cool that you're

Thanks for that! The Dane in me am all about "the joy of the pig." Normally, we just toss pork shoulder roasts in the crock pot, but this looks like a really good way of doing it.

Ah, another stamp collector on Hive! Yes, the older Canadian commemoratives are quite beautiful. Seems like they put more effort into the art of stamps, back then. I think my favorite Canadian stamp is
