Along similar lines, I'm Danish but live in the US. Whenever I am back in Denmark I spend far less money there than I do here.

I know a number of US expats who lived overseas for many years and then returned to the US... and they ALL noticed how everything in the US is designed to drive people to consume and spend money. s I age, I find that I reject "stuff" and "senseless spending" more and more.

Hopefully we'll sell some stuff and that + what we have in "Hive/HDB savings" will cover it.
