As I write this, reports are coming in regarding the death of our Queen Elizabeth II. It was not unexpected as she has been in I'll health recently but comes as a shock to all. The timing of this is extraordinary, as she welcomed our new prime minister Liz Truss only a few days ago!
She is succeeded by her son who will be known as King Charles III.
My day has been another busy one. Another trip to the local amenity tip with a full car load of cardboard boxes emptied after our house move. That's not all of it either, so there will be another load in the near future. A shopping trip too but only for a few urgent items. That's how we are living right now, for the moment, and not planning too far ahead until we get ourselves straight at home.
