During a journey to find a brewery today I took a wrong turn and ended up at the top of a hill in the North Downs 馃槄.
The road was too narrow and steep to turn around so continuing up to the top of the hill, I found a convenient car park in order to do just that.
However, the view was so good we stopped and took a little walk to take in the atmosphere. It was the first time I had ever been here. The particular hill is called Denbies Hillside.
We found a lonely pear tree on the hillside. A perfect opportunity for a picture! 馃槅.
The view was great too.
It was time to find that brewery! I was looking for Surrey Hills Brewery, a micro brewery set within the Denbies Vineyard estate. It was very busy here, with a large gift shop and restaurant as well as the wine tasting and vineyard tours.
There was even an area selling some nice sculptures too.
I was here for the beer and was not disappointed. Taking away two of their beers in two pint containers. 馃槤馃嵑馃嵒
