I have seen many different forms of fungi but this bright yellow one took my eye! There were several separate growths on this old tree stump.
The colour is stunning. This type of fungi is usually orange or brown, but the shape of this one is more convoluted. It looks soft and fluffy but I didn't touch it to find out 😅.
The closest likeness I can find is something called Sulphur Shelf. I can fully understand where the name came from!
