A tranquil walk around Titmus lake : My Actifit Report Card: October 8 2026
I had the chance to take a half hour walk around the Titmus lake area of Tilgate Park. There are three lakes in Tilgate and Titmus lake is found at the back of the nature centre, where the viewing platform is.
I took the picture of the lake, just as a heron flew past! What are the chances? 馃ぃ
The walk distance was just 1.5 miles but I passed some beautiful scenery. Some nice examples of fungi growing around a dead tree trunk.
The sweet chestnuts are very good this year. I have never seen them looking so plump and well worth gathering up. You could fill a bucket in no time at all!
Unfortunately, my picture is a little out of focus but I think clear enough to see how good they are.
I enjoyed the short walk in late afternoon. Evenings are drawing in now and also getting chilly earlier every day. Time to get indoors! 馃槃
