The day started out very well. I woke up a bit tired, but made it to the gym and back in time to have some quality moments with Ellie. And then I got quite productive. But around noon, I got cocky and diverged from my plan, indulging in distractive activities like gaming and watching Netflix.

After a nap, I tried to get back at it, but anxiety kicked in and it became harder and harder to focus, causing more anxiety. Nothing helped, though I walked around breathing deeply the whole time, went to the roof, drank some water, and so on, all the tricks in my sleeve that usually work. I kept it somewhat under control, and was able to finish another task or two, but nothing substantial. It is how it is. After martial arts training, the anxiety was gone. Since I had sat mostly at my desk, I decided to walk a little more, which also helped. I was able to sleep well.

I really have to steer clear of those distractions when I'm with a long to-do list. Indulge when I'm done. Hopefully, yesterday will convert into a lesson towards that.
