The recent market trend of old school hainanese coffee shop has gotten out of control. Every tom dick and harry who can afford to spend would want a piece of that. We will keep the rant on another post, but let's visit a true fusion and honest cafe at Bandar Sri Damansara.
Victoria 25 Cafe situated at Damansara Avenue, a very cozy and convenient place for the local to crash in to grab quick lunch. There's other well known franchise at the same venue, if branding is not a concern, then Victoria 25 can be a good choice if you don't mind me recommend.
The cafe is air-conditioned, alternatively if you choose to sit under 40'c hot sun or using rain to help cooling your body temperature, there's outdoor seats that usually for night time use.
The local iced coffee is quite strong, but blended in with condensed milk make it very smooth to go down. Becareful when you take a sip, I did mine and accidentally finished it with a single sip.
All day breakfast available, and since I missed my breakkie, I decided to have a set of it. Another thing to highlight is, it's a pork free shop. It is quite convenient if you choose to not eat pork.
I also ordered a chicken chop with salted egg suave as topping. Now that I know, their chicken chop is made all across breaded deep friend chicken. Chicken is fresh, there's enough sauce for me to dip. Not too special, but it's above average.
Kids got themselves each a set of Kaya butter toast. I didn't try it, but they didn't complain, so I assume it was ok. The French fries though, surprisingly good. Very salty and crunchy.
Last but not least, I got a shock when I set to make payment. It's 59.40. Dude, that's less than 15 US dollar to fed the 4 of us!
