Assalamu Alaikum Thank you, I hope you are well, I am also well. Today I have a new video in front of you. It is a video of a Baul song. Many of you must have heard this song. Baul songs are mainly played in different parts of the village. This song has various kinds of delicious food, including payas, chicken, beef, all kinds of rice, pola, and many other foods. There are various kinds of instrumental music to play the song. Among them are drums, harmoniums, flutes, and various other things. This is basically a Pir's event. Since my grandfather is a Pir, a big event is held here every year. However, the event that you can see today is very small. It is not done all the time, but today it was done at night.
Humans yearn for the secret principles and formulas. Where there is secrecy, there is strong interest in people. That is why the religious and educated society has been interested in the methods and rituals of the Bauls' singing and practicing for hundreds of years and it can be said that there will be for several more decades. Since no one who believes in the Baul doctrine and theory speaks to the general public about the secret principles of their practice, the diversity of ideas about them in society is visible. However, it can be said without closing our eyes that Baul sadhana and the songs, verses and phrases based on sadhana left a mark on the minds of a large section of people. That is why Baul songs of villages, towns, cities and ports have entered the world court today. People of different languages and cultures are also expressing interest in Baul songs. Some are also doing extensive research on the Bauls. We have also made good use of this opportunity. Although we have not retained the Baul ideals and consciousness in our bodies, minds and hearts, we have taken them into our voices in a great way. Nowadays, participants in various talent hunt programs perform Baul songs as a tool to attract attention. The Baul “man of the heart” and the Arshinagar “neighbor” are not the Ram-Rahim-Kala mind of Bengal. Still, the apathetic people of Bengal have always listened to Baul songs and have certainly adapted them to their lives and moved them to tears. If two songs with simple words and sentences can mislead the common man, then it is better not to talk about the song mentioned in the first place. Despite all these limitations and obstacles, a class of people are making Baul songs a commodity by dressing up as Bauls. On the other hand, the apathetic and tired Bengalis scattered in the country and abroad are playing the bagal after listening to the songs of the Bhek Bauls. Today, in addition to conducting many experiments with Baul songs, various instruments are being used in Baul songs. The younger generation is listening to Baul songs. Everyone is singing Baul songs in their own way and is definitely losing it very quickly.
Thank you
