It just seems like I see this a lot where I live. I don't think anyone would throw their own shoes up there. That would be a waste of shoes.

I am guessing that for fun, someone took someone else's shoes and threw them up there. Then what? Now someone is less their shoes. So what about the parents of the young person that has to buy another pair of shoes for their child?

This picture is not my picture, but from pixabay.com. I did get the idea yesterday to write about this though, since I seen someone's shoes on a line as I was coming out of a Post Office. I didn't have a good shot of it, but I do see this around town a lot.

Also how long will these things be hanging on the line? I will guess that they will stay there for a long time. Can you imagine how much it would cost to bring them down? Well, they will just stay there. Maybe until the shoe string breaks cause of the constant heat of the sun.

I am pretty cheap so I will wear a pair of shoes until they fall apart, so I guess seeing these shoe that look like they are not falling apart seems like a really big waste.

OK, I just looked up some urban legend that if you see the shoes on the lines is that they sell drugs in the area. Well it that is true then I would think that the police or sheriff would know about it too.

I think it is still someone's friend that did it to their friend, but what kind of friend is that? I am glad that none of my friends growing up did that to me.

Now that I think about it, if I wanted to check if the shoes were my size I can use a telescoping pole with a Y end attached. I guess one might get the shoes down that way.

Did you ever study the lines that come into the house? Well, where I live the telephone lines are the lowest to the ground. The next highest is the cable TV line. Then the highest is the electrical lines.

I know this my following the lines that come into the house.

That reminds me when there was a small tornado in my city and the tornado affected my house and houses around me. Nothing too bad. I did have to fix the roof a bit and the power lines got disconnected from my house.

So I called up the electric company and told them that a line was disconnected from my house and I also let them know that there was a live wire that looked like it was touching my neighbors shed.

I told them that they should hurry over here, cause I didn't want anybody to touch that shed that looked to me to be metal. I would hate to think of my neighbor electrocuted.

So they came by pretty fast and I got hooked up after awhile.

Well, that is my story when a tornado came to my street. There was even the news mentioning that tornadoes have landed. Well yes and I am glad it was a small tornado. Over here we are used to earthquakes, but tornadoes are pretty new to us.

Speaking of earthquakes remember when the 1989 October 17th earthquake happened. I was on my way to a meeting and stopped by at a friends house.

On TV we even seen what happened to the bay area. You see we were all on our way to the bay area, but with all the things that happened with decided not to go.

I remember even a week after the earthquake there were after tremors and I was in the central valley far away from the bay area where the earthquake happened.

Of course the earthquake was really sad as there were a lot of people that died because of it. This was the earthquake where a top freeway is directly on top of the bottom freeway that was going the opposite direction. The people on the bottom had the most deaths.

We don't know when we will meet our death. With the 1989 earthquake a lot of people lost their lives. It is a good reminder to make it right with God. It is what Jesus warned about who to fear. As it is written, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28.

That is why we need to repent, accept Jesus and do the will of the Father.

Let's end with a scripture, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13.
