I just took this picture from pixabay.com. I didn't have any new pictures to write on, so I thought since I haven't used a pixabay.com picture in awhile, I might as well do that now.

So on the first page of pictures I seen this eye and I thought about what the eye can see. In my opinion the eye can see whatever it can see, but does the person who sees through their eye see all that the eye can see?

Well, no. You might say, David, what do you mean? Well have you ever tried to find something and your eye did see it, but you over looked it?

A long time ago I was in an old style restaurant and I asked the woman if they had sugar, for my coffee. In those days I put sugar in my coffee, now days I like it black. Well, the lady told me, Sure, right here is the sugar. It was right in front of me and my eyes did look upon it, but I didn't see it as I was used to looking for those little packets of sugar and the restaurant I was in still used those sugar dispensers that you pick up and pour into your coffee.

So my eyes did see, but it came in a way that I didn't expect it, is why I over looked it, but it was there all that time.

Many times I have been a juror at a court house. I remember one question that they asked me in choosing me as a juror was, Is a police officer more credible than any other person?

My answer was, No. Then they wanted me to explain. So I told them that if I was standing next to that policeman and an event happened, my telling of the event was just as credible as his. So my testimony of the event would be equal to the policeman standing next to me while the event happened.

Well, that kind of answer is the answer they are looking for, and I was chosen to be a juror.

So I believe the eye sees everything it can see, but it is us that chooses to put attention on what is being seen.

In the scriptures, Jesus said, Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? Mark 8:18.

Let's end with scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23.
