Yes, I got myself a small compact refrigerator. It is good for me at the present moment. At sometime in the future, I can get a bigger one, but I like that this one small.
It is big enough to fit my large cooking pot, so I can put my large pot into the little compact refrigerator.
I was tired of using my makeshift ice chest as a refrigerator and continually keep buying ice. It really is only good for so many days, then I had to do something.
So I have a two door refrigerator with the freezer on top. A mini version of the refrigerator that I had before.
What are the gains for a mini refrigerator? Well, you think before you buy, as what ever you buy, if it has to be refrigerated, it has to fit in the little refrigerator.
This way I have to consciously not buy too much. That would save money. Now I also have a 7.2 cubic feet freezer in another room. So I can load up on frozen products and also I do have a little freezer section on this little refrigerator.
I will also save money on energy as it is an energy star product and it is a small refrigerator at 4.4 cubit feet total.
I bought this refrigerator from an individual in another city I found on Craigslist Appliance section. I had to go to a gated group of houses. The guy that I came to did give me the address a day before I came there.
When you look up an address, you also look up real estate information, like how much the house is worth. I was going to a house that is estimated to be over a million dollars.
I thought the guy had this small refrigerator as his man cave beer holder.
Well, after we talked, I asked him why he wanted to sell this small refrigerator, he told me that he had 4 of them. So I was wrong, he had these open box refrigerators that were basically new.
You see he bought a pallet of these refrigerators, he told me it was one his hobbies to buy pallets full of returned product, this is why he had 4 of them and I was just interested in one of them.
He wanted $179 for the small refrigerator that he wanted to sell to me. Well, after listening to a Roger Dawson audio called, The Secrets Of Power Negotiating, I thought I better put out an offer.
I asked him, Would you take $160? He told me he would and even helped me put it into my 91 Chevy S10 truck and even helped me tie it down.
We talked for a bit and I found out that he likes Trump too. Well, I think I bought from the right guy.
So now I have this mini refrigerator. Hopefully it will give me years of service, God willing.
