I took this picture a few days ago. So there were clouds in the sky then. As I write, it is raining. It is raining in a place where a few years ago we had drought.
I am not so sure we are out of drought, but I do like to save rainwater when I can. Sometime ago I went and bought some metal food grade barrels.
I bought them from a business that was a honey business. Yes the barrels were at one time filled with honey from all over the world.
The head guy of the place would sell me a used barrel for 15 dollars and that would include the lid and ring that holds down the lid.
The bad thing is that after awhile the metal barrels would get rusted and eventually would leak. I guess I could try to fix them and patch the leaky sections with a J-B Weld kit.
I think I will keep the barrels as they are and just use the ones with leaks as dry storage. That is what is good with barrels is that they can be useful for dry storage as if rats come in the rats wouldn't be able to penetrate the barrel and its lid.
I know cause I would have 4 barrels of water in the garage just for emergency water. Of course I keep the lid on them, but I do notice on top of the lid is the dung of the rats. So that tells me that the rats were even on the top of the barrels, but they could not penetrate the barrels
So for dry storage metal barrels would be useful. Well, it will be more protection than keeping stuff in cardboard boxes, where rats will eat through.
So the clouds can bring water, and water that will make the dry land green.
Let's end with scripture, as it is written, Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Jude 1:11-12.
