My dad and mom and family moved in sometime in 1974 and moved out around 2008. Nobody is living in it now. It was bought by some rich guy.
During the time that we were there, my parents rented. Then there was some paper on the window. The owner at the time must have borrowed against it many times, but at the end didn't pay back.
So the house went into foreclosure.
My parents did pay the monthly payment, but the owner didn't pay his mortgage. Sometimes that happens. What happens? Well, you see my parents started out renting with the dad.
Then the dad, died and the son took over for collecting the rent money. There was talk that maybe the son was addicted on something. Maybe it was cocaine.
Well, with addiction to something like cocaine, one might not think too clearly. All reasoning might go out the window. I heard he inherited a lot of his dad's houses. He probably lost every one of those houses.
He could have made a good living just collecting the rents, but the cocaine. We have seen even great singing stars go down because of some addiction.
So the rich come in and buy the property. Mom and my brother lives closer to me now. My dad passed away in early 2009.
There is a scripture that says, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to purpose. Romans 8:28.
So my family had to move out of this house, but they are only 7 blocks away from where I live so I am closer to them now.
The reason that I happened to take this picture was mom wanted to visit her friends, that were her next door neighbors. They invited us to have lunch and afterwards we got to talk for awhile and catch up on things.
We had a nice visit and I thought I would take a picture of the house I once lived in with my parents.
Let's end with a scripture, For we know that if our earthly house of tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1.
