The morning after his last night party was when he realized his friends are just making fun of him.
John was the only child of a wealthy family; his parents always granted any of his wishes without a second thought, and also took him to one of the most expensive schools overseas. They want him to take over their business and do more better that them.
But in college, John met some group of millionaires friends like him, but they all have different goal and motives. And John, whose parents want him to take over their company, began to hang out with them, he got addicted to clubbing, drugs, and women.
John was to get expelled because of his wayward attitude in school, which he developed recently. On hearing this, his parents became disappointed and sad. They both decide to pay their son a visit. On getting to is apartment, they saw lots of people partying. It was a heartbreaking moment for them, the child they expected to be reading, studying and preparing for what he is to achieve was busy throwing parties.
He never expected to see his parents there.
John : Hey, mom how're doing? Ahhhh, hi Dad, it's good to see you. "He gave his father a hug"
Mom : John, what's going on here?
Meanwhile he father was still surprised by what he was seeing.
John : Nothing much, we're just partying. Why not come inside? I have a lot to tell you guys.
Dad : we also have a lot to tell you, let's go in. And you John, you end this party now, send these folks back to their houses.
John : "laughed" Okay, Dad, I will.
They all got inside after John ended the party.
Mom : ohh, John, what are you doing to yourself?
John : mom, am doing nothing, am just having fun.
His dad looked at the table and saw some Cocaine.
Dad : John!
John : Yes, Dad.
Father: What's this? Pointing at the table, looking angry.
John : "looking at his father with a pitiful face" Dad, those calm my nerves down.
Dad : John, so it's all true? You're now into drugs. I love you, son. Why are you doing this to me?
John : Am sorry dad, but it causes no harm to me.
Mom : Shut up, John. Can you even hear yourself?
John : Am sorry, Mom.
His dad began to cry bitterly, and John was shocked to see his dad cry because of him.
John : "Treating up", mom, dad. I have seen the pain I caused you guys, and I promise to change and do my best in crafting a better future for myself.
Dad : Son, if you change completely and I hear no bad news from the school authorities or anywhere, I will get you your dream car.
Mom : John, we'll be leaving now. I will call you when we arrive home.
John : Okay, Mom, love you guys.
He hugged his parents before they left his house to take a flight back home.
From that time, the scene of his dad crying kept repeating in his heart, and he realized how special he was to his dad.
John gradually disconnected himself from his friend.
One day, his friend invited him to a birthday party which was to be held as their favorite clubhouse, John refused and turned down the invitation.
Friend: Why are you avoiding us, John?
John : How could you say such thing? Am not, just that I have to concentrate on studies more.
Friend : okay mummy's boy, but this is your friend's birthday, we're taking about. let this party be your last please buddy don't say no.
John: Okay. Am not mummy's boy.
He went to the party, and they partied all day.
John, woke up the next morning alone at the club, empty bottles of whines were at the table and the floor was filled with paper plates.
John : Ohh, my head hurts. What really happened last night? what! It's afternoon already, l'm in a mess.
On finish this words, his mom called.
Mom : John, where are you?
John : Hi mom, I went to see a friend.
Mom : I hope you know you just missed an important exam.
John : What!!? I thought it was on Thursday?
Mom : Thursday, you say? today is Thursday you idiot. Your dad went out after the call from the school, i don't know where he could be now. Your unchanged attitude has made him heartbroken. His mom hangs up the phone.
John began to cry. He left the clubhouse, drove to his house, took a shower, then sat down. "So those I called my friends really left me out there, what were they thinking? Am I actually their friend? All this questions went through his mind.
John went to school and found out he scored an F on the exam. He asked the school for one last chance to write the exam. After a long talk and pleadings, they gave him another chance.
He wrote the exam and passed with an A.
From that day on, he changed completely. His friend couldn't come to him and he also avoided them.
Some years passed, he graduated with good grades, and his parents were happy with him. His father completed his wish and gave him the car of his dreams and he became loved again.
