It has been used for centuries instead of toothpaste, and most commonly as a chewing stick.
In addition to Siwaka, we will also use iris root powder which is traditionally used for teeth whitening.
We will add the essential oil of peppermint and clove. Clove has traditionally been used for all types of inflammation and infections of the oral cavity. Clove first acts as an analgesic, and at the same time has a very strong antibacterial effect.
There are also baking soda, calcium carbonate and xylitol.
Let's go!
Chop the xylitol in a mixer first. Then mix all the powders in a glass beaker, and add the essential oils. Shake everything well to blend the essential oils with the powders.
Store in a glass jar.
Moisten a toothbrush and immerse it in a jar of powder. Brush your teeth as usual. Add more powder as needed.
