We're back at the Cordillera de la Sal salt flats and I wanted to show you the difference between day and night here.
In the day the bright sun is reflecting off the salty pools that are created from the salt deposits that are left when the rain (that comes once a year) evaporates, leaving the minerals from the mountains. You're left with a salt river that cuts through the whole valley.
As the sun starts going down the temperature drops rapidly, and the salt flats have lost their reflective brightness.
I certainly don't consider myself a professional photographer, and I'm only using the Samsung NX300 which is considered semi-professional. I love photography, and I'd love to learn more skills in it. I think it helps that I'm in an area of outstanding beauty.
Finally, the sun disappears behind the mountain and we are left with the perfect image of the lagoon, and flamingos.
