With my latest design I chose a bee/hive theme, the lovely Hive red being my color of choice. The original photo is actually of me in my underwear holding on to the lid of my toilet. Aren’t I classy? I thought it was a pretty great idea considering I was able to manipulate the image and place the Hive logo on the ceramic lid. Just goes to show almost anything can be useful when it comes to art.
You can tell by the look on my face that I mean business. I am not a member of Hive only to post every so often. I would much rather make creating content to post exclusively on this platform part of my daily ritual. Consistency enables a greater output than that which was once thought to be the maximum.
One of the first things I do every day is check my @esteemapp notifications to see what I missed while I was sleeping. Did I get a new comment? Did a curation account give me a big juicy upvote? Perhaps there was a pump and/or dump. All are reasons to get excited. I do not like falling behind on the trends when it comes to Hive.
One of an artist’s strongest weapons within their arsenal is the power of critique. I learned this early on during my short 3-semester stint attending college art school. No matter how little confidence you have in your art, it is best to just lay it out there and receive the feedback. Often times it will be quite painful to endure, but eventually you will reach a level where you have zero fear of being criticized. That’s when you can really start to take advantage of the different points of view from the witnesses of your artistic ability.
