๐ Battling Between Frontier & Modern

Iโve been playing both Frontier and Modern formats, but right now, Iโm really enjoying Modern! Why? Because I can fully utilize most of my deck โ including both of my Foundation cards and the ones I purchased. ๐ผ๐
Sure, the free cards are great, but since Iโve spent money on a few, I do feel a bit guilty not using them as much. ๐ Thatโs why Iโve been diving deep into Modern, experimenting with different combinations to see which cards work well together. โ๏ธโจ
โ๏ธ Building My Core Deck
Iโve been testing tons of combos to figure out which cards deserve a place in my core deck. This helps me know exactly which ones I should focus on upgrading as I prepare to battle in the upper tiers of the Modern format. ๐ก๏ธ๐
And right now?
Iโd say Iโve found four cards that are already my absolute favorites. ๐
๐ฟ Kaylia Silverleaf = MVP Summoner
My favorite summoner so far? Kaylia Silverleaf, hands down! ๐
Iโve even heard from other players that they love KS too โ and I can totally see why.
Itโs all about that game-changing ability she grants to other cards:
๐ฅ Execute! ๐ฅ
This ability has saved me so many times, turning the tide in battles I was sure I was going to loseโฆ and then ๐ฅ BAM, I pull off a win!
Itโs such a thrill every time โ like, "YESSS I knew picking KS as my first summoner was the move!" ๐๐ง
โ But What Is Execute?
Great question... ๐
Letโs talk about that next. ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ๐ฎ
Execute is a very powerful skill, IMHO, because it allows a character to make another attack after a successful hitโbut only if the enemy unit has 2 or fewer health points remaining.
Basically, this ability lets my unit instantly finish off an enemy with 4 HP or less, making it a deadly combo when used with characters like Silverleaf Warlock and Silverleaf Ranger. โ๏ธ๐ฅ
Letโs talk about Silverleaf Ranger for a sec. She already has the Double Strike ability, which means she can attack twice per roundโtargeting the same enemy unit. ๐ฎ
Now imagine adding the Execute ability that Kaylia Silverleaf grants her...
Yeah, that turns it into a Triple Strike! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
With this setup, SR can easily take down an enemy with 6 HP in a single round. LOL.
Itโs insanely satisfying to pull that off!
So in the coming days, Iโll be looking into upgrading each of these characters to unlock their full potential in the game. ๐ฏ
I really think this is the kind of build Iโll be pushing forward with as I continue playing.
