Grove Doomblade – A Heavy Hitting Fire Monster in Splinterlands
Grove Doomblade Review — A Powerful Fire Monster in Splinterlands
Hi guys how are you all? I hope you all are doing great
So guys today I am back again with another new Splinterlands monster review
It has been a while and today I have brought another interesting monster for you guys
So without wasting any more time let us start today's review
Today the monster I am going to talk about is Grove Doomblade
Grove Doomblade is a Rare Fire monster and it comes from the Conclave Arcana Reward set
This monster has a very interesting design and honestly when I first looked at this card the first thing I noticed was its attack
At maximum level Grove Doomblade has 7 melee attack which is a really huge amount of damage
It has 9 mana cost along with 1 speed 3 armor and 8 health
Now guys if we look at these stats then the 7 attack is definitely the main attraction of this monster
Seven melee damage can be very dangerous for the enemy team
If this monster gets a clean hit then it can take away a huge amount of health from the enemy
But there is one thing that we cannot ignore and that is its speed
Grove Doomblade has only 1 speed
Yes guys only 1 speed
This means that in normal battles Grove Doomblade can be quite slow compared to many other monsters
There is also a higher chance of missing against monsters that have good speed or Dodge
But guys this low speed is not always a bad thing
Especially when we get the Reverse Speed ruleset
In Reverse Speed slower monsters get the chance to attack before faster monsters
So a monster like Grove Doomblade with only 1 speed can actually become very dangerous in this ruleset
Now let us talk about the abilities because this is where Grove Doomblade becomes really interesting
The first ability is Sneak
Sneak allows Grove Doomblade to attack the enemy monster in the last position
This is very useful because instead of always attacking the enemy tank you can directly target the backline
If your opponent has an important support monster sitting at the back then Grove Doomblade can put a lot of pressure on it
And with 7 melee attack you definitely do not want this monster hitting your backline again and again
The next ability is Fury
Fury is especially useful against monsters with Taunt
When Grove Doomblade attacks a monster with Taunt it can deal double damage
Now just imagine this guys
Grove Doomblade already has 7 melee attack and then Fury comes into play against a Taunt monster
That can create a really massive hit
So if your opponent is depending heavily on a Taunt monster to protect the rest of the team then Grove Doomblade can become a serious problem for them
After that we have Stun
Stun gives Grove Doomblade a chance to stun the enemy after a successful attack
When the ability works the enemy monster will lose its next attack
This can be very useful in battles where every attack matters
Sometimes one missed turn from an important enemy monster can completely change the battle
And finally we have Ambush
Ambush is one of the most interesting abilities on this card
It allows the monster to attack before the first normal round begins
So guys this means Grove Doomblade can potentially get an early attack before the normal battle sequence even starts
Now imagine combining Ambush with Sneak
Grove Doomblade can get an early attack and target the enemy backline
And because it has 7 melee attack this first hit can already put a lot of pressure on the opponent
Then if Stun activates it can make the situation even worse for the enemy
This combination is what makes Grove Doomblade different from a normal melee attacker
It is not just about having high attack
The abilities give it different ways to create pressure on the enemy team
Another thing I like about Grove Doomblade is its durability
It has 3 armor and 8 health at maximum level
Of course I would not call it a proper tank because its main job is damage
But these defensive stats can still help it survive for a longer time
The biggest thing you have to think about is the 9 mana cost
This is not a monster that you can simply throw into every low mana battle
When you have enough mana and the ruleset is suitable then Grove Doomblade can become a very interesting choice for your Fire lineup
I especially like the idea of using it when the enemy has important monsters at the back
Sneak can help you reach them while Fury gives you another advantage against Taunt
And if the ruleset is Reverse Speed then its 1 speed can actually become one of its biggest strengths
So guys in my opinion Grove Doomblade is a very interesting Fire monster
It has huge melee damage and some really useful abilities
Sneak helps it attack the backline
Fury makes it dangerous against Taunt
Stun gives it a chance to stop an enemy attack
And Ambush gives it the opportunity to attack before the normal battle begins
The biggest weakness is obviously its 1 speed
But as I said before the right ruleset can completely change that
Overall I think Grove Doomblade is a monster that needs the right situation to show its full potential
If you use it with the right team and in the right ruleset then it can become a very dangerous damage dealer for your Fire team
So guys that was my review of Grove Doomblade
I hope you all enjoyed this review and found it helpful
If you are a Splinterlands player then definitely keep this monster in mind when you are building your next Fire team
I hope you all found this very helpful
I will see you in the next post
Until then goodbye
