Lets work together to break the stereotype that having a good body is only for the athletes.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring nutritional knowledge around the world through this platform and community! My goal is to give nutritional advise to people that don't know anything about nutrition. I want you to be able to take away what I talk about and apply it to your life both easily and effectively.
Topic: A Balanced Breakfast part 1
Ask yourself, do I eat breakfast when I wake up?
Why does eating in the morning matter?
Could a balanced breakfast help me be more efficient during my day?
Great Questions!!!
To keep It as simple as possible for my first blog, the key take away is breakfast matters! The term breakfast itself is almost self explanatory. The prefix break and suffix fast.. Latin for "breaking the fast." Has been deemed the first meal of the day for good reason! You see exactly 3-4 hours after consuming your last meal before bed, depending on what you ate, your body naturally runs out of energy to break down while you sleep. When this happens your body looks internally for energy. Into your own stored food reserves. Your body will naturally want to use the most quality energy it has stored. Unfortunately the most "quality" energy isn't fat like we all hope. It's your hard earned muscle and glucose in your brain! :((
((The scientific term for this is called catabolism. "cata" to break down.))
If you stay in this state of internal break down for to long your body and hormone structure could be damaged. Leading to anger, weight gain, and lack of productivity.
I'm going do a follow up blog "A balanced breakfast part 2" tomorrow discussing food/easy breakfast ideas.
Take Aways:
--Eating something in the morning is always better then nothing!
--Break the fast from the previous day!
--Breakfast will make your day more productive!
