It is funny how things work and how things so unexpected happen. As most of you know I am into my sports and have done a few sports posts over the last 6 months or so. Many users were writing about football and that is great, but to be honest most of it was rehashed stuff from the tabloids. That sort of thing doesn't interest me as I have most likely read it already and nothing new.
I decided to go a different route and look for things that interested me and added something different. I normally end up writing about something which usually changes by the time I finish and have to rewrite again anyway. The more you dig the more you find and it goes off in a total different direction from when you first started. That is what I enjoy as it is not the normal sort of stuff that you read.

I have never heard of them before but they have close to 70 000 followers which is a decent amount compared to my 30 odd. I only realised after the fact a few months later that they had taken one of my pieces and used it in their daily publication. I was a little shocked as little old me had done something that others had recognised. That is pretty great knowing that I am only doing the pieces as I enjoy the sport and learning new things. The tabloid scans the world press for the best stories so making it onto their pages is really quite cool.
My post that got the nod only achieved $3.95 on Steem at the time but that is not the point really.

What it tells me is now I should concentrate and write more about Formula One as they are looking for things to add to their online daily paper. I know there is so much to write about as long as you are prepared to look and get more involved.i have normally been pushing my Hive posts to #posh, but will now concentrate and see if I can break through into this daily paper on a regular basis.
Who knows where it could lead long term as I have no thoughts of that,but to just do well on Hive adding whatever I can to the whole experience. I think the best things that happen to us are the least expected and are the most rewarding.The possibilities are endless right now as most online tabloids or tabloids in general are desperate for any sporting piece that has some interest. Sport looks as though it will take aback seat for a good few months so trying to build a following is prime right now.
