Never thought I would ever have to put two phones together to find out who was lying. Figured out quite quickly that the voice piece needs to be at the ear piece of the other one.Turns out they were both lying and were not exactly truthful or understood they were making the problem far worse.
Yesterday I thought today would be the day we have our internet connection back, but that would be wishful thinking. This morning at 8.30 am I was on the phone yet again and was told by the accounts department it was good to go and just needed to reset the router and connection. False hopes again as there was no difference from any other day with a big ZULCH,nothing at all.
I actually think we got somewhere today though even though it is frustrating and laughable at the same time. I tell you how bad it got was when we made two calls one to each company on separate cell phones and made them talk to each other. How bad is that and was a youtube moment missed. Probably would have been unwatchable with me in my dressing gown still at lunchtime when the brain wave took place.
It turned out they both thought they were right which makes the whole thing even more stupid and just goes to show what these people are doing sitting in the hot seat of a company call center. How much damage are these individuals doing long term not knowing the exact science of how their companies work.
The secret department we were told about turns out SDM is the service delivery manager and there is no secret department. Talk about simpletons of the highest level all working in one or two buildings. They must have all won a competition or something to be employed by this lot. One of the call center staff was even called "Patience" which I thought was just going to make matters worse which she did and prayed I would never get her again.
I know from previous days that they cut the lines at 4 pm and then you are toast until the next morning. At 2 pm this afternoon I had already had more than I could take and told them I am on my way to pay them a visit. After searching via hot spotting again on Linkedin I had a list of names that needed to be told personally what they needed to do and how long they had. I honestly didn't give a shit any more and the woman on the other side knew I was serious as she sweetly said "That won't be possible". I had to ask why and the answer blew me away as she said for protective reasons for "Covid" I would be refused entry. I did find that bit funny and had to chuckle to myself quietly.Getting in would be easy but finding the individuals would be the hardest part.
Eventually after 4 days of banging mt head I got hold of a manager called Nicky. Smart having a woman handle this as I thought to myself at the time I would have done the same thing. Opposite sexes somehow work in dire situations and she thoroughly explained where the problems lie so much so that I offered to go and train her staff if she couldn't be bothered.

Deadline is 10.54 am and have no clue if it is even something anymore. Their service level agreement allows 72 hours from when order is placed to activation which tells us they wasted 3 days originally probably because of the backlog to cover their own skin.
They have until 10.54 am tomorrow morning to fix the connection along with a back log which they apparently have, which failed to mention once in 4 days. The words imminent, escalated and priority kind of went out the window after that as it is all bull dust. I have counted how many calls were made between the 3 companies over the last week and it is now sitting just under 250. There were two other phones besides mine also complaining plus social media. At one point this morning my daughter was told to please ask her dad to stop phoning which I obviously listened to and phoned some more.
I have had no Hive,Tv,Films and shit I have had to talk to family members this week. Every bloody thing we have in this house is reliant on the internet so you are literally screwed without it. So many hardships in one week is enough to drive anyone insane. I do kind of find this funny and shocking at the same time as what was I expecting as we live in Africa. Not saying other places are much better mind you as when things get bad they get bad no matter where you are. Lets hope and pray for good news in the morning as I can't handle these early nights.
