I take this opportunity to congratulate all Hiveian parents and their kids for Kid's Day. And I am curious how many adults got congratulated too in this day. Did someone wish you happy birthday for your inner kid? Have you dared to do it towards a fellow adult? I did and it felt great. We all still have an inner child inside, no matter how old we are. That child carries all of our pain, wounds and trauma. The same child makes us goofy, spontaneous, dreamy and adorably annoying. You know what I mean, when an adult makes you angry, it's probably because he/she is acting like a child馃槀馃懚

I have seen so many adults growing up and becoming dull and serious. I have bills, I have to work, I have to think of retirement, I have to be responsible, I have to please my parents etc. Adults who don't allow themselves to be kids anymore. Why? I have found myself in that position and noticed one thing : adults who reject their inner child aren't happy. We feel the need to conform and act in a rigid way which leads to a lot of turmoil inside. I wish more adults embrace the fact that life is a playground and the old generations didn't know how to teach us to treasure and nurture this little gem called inner child. We can learn to do it on our own.

My question is: what would you tell to your inner child today, with your current wisdom?

My personal answer would be:You are lovable. You are great just the way you are and you deserve the best. Don't settle with less and smile all the time. You are safe, you're not alone, adult Mary is here with you now馃

Have a great day and toodle loo!
