I remember watching The little mermaid when I was a child and it really sparked my imagination. All that sea universe, all the colours, it was a dream for me to watch Ariel's adventures deep down in the sea.
I am fascinated by the sea life, by the sea creatures. I always wondered how can they resist down there, with so much pressure, so little light, in complete isolation. In this abstract drawing I imagine such a creature, with colorful looks, with mini octopuses (which are one of my favorite marine creatures) deep down in the sea.
I have noticed that a lot of animals from the deep ocean are quite colorful and I find that truly beautiful, it is a contrast with the depths where they are living.
The exploration and discovery of such animals has only began and I think there are a lot of things yet to be revealed. Until then, all we have is our imagination.
