This month's Beer52 delivery introduced me to their Elements project which was designed to showcase the difference in beer by tweaking singular ingredients like yeast, malts and, of course, hops! The way

Today, it's a bit of a break from garden stuff or beer drinking, so... we're cooking. There's nothing better at the end of a night out than that greasy kebab and today I guess I craved that taste, minus

Most of us have seen those 'How to grow an avocado tree' posts online and the seed cracking during the germination process always looks pretty cool. At the end of May/beginning of June I've decided to

Having finished with the greenhouse plants it was time to spare some time on the outdoor plants. I have a few fruit trees and a bunch of shrubs that needed a bit of attention. I've started with the trees.

The day has finally come. I've removed all the plants from my greenhouse hydroponic system. It's getting pretty cold during the nights now, even in the greenhouse, so there wasn't much point really in

I forgot about my Beer52 subscription; last time I've used them I thought I had canceled the next order, but it seems I've only postponed it and to my surprise I had another one of their lovely boxes arrive

Hey, It's been a while since my last post, almost a month now. Don't really know why I haven't been posting lately. I suppose I got carried away with work and a lil holiday1, 2 and neglected steemit. Anyway,

Today I finally got round to bottling my tomato beer. A week ago I removed the tomatoes and moved it to secondary to clear for a bit. This is the pic from last week when I've moved it. I stole one of

My last bucket potatoes have been signalling for a while now that they're ready so today I harvested them. There were 3 buckets left and the plats started drying out. I had Sapo Mira's and Mayan gold in

My berry bushes didn't really produce anything this year, had some raspberries in the summer but not much else and as I was moving some of the plants I was pleasantly surprised to see that my autumn yellow

My greenhouse is getting emptier now and gone are the days of it being a jungle but I'm still going to have a few more weeks of toms. The autumn is making more victims and my last cucumber was removed

Hey, Autumn is in full swing here and there's no point to let my tomato plants to keep growing. Depending on the size of the fruit it takes about 40-60 days from flower to ripe fruit and while some of

Went into the greenhouse earlier and saw that I had to pick some toms, I've been putting it off for a few days as we didn't really need any but they had to be picked today. These are some Rutgers, pretty

For the last couple of days I've been pretty busy sampling some lovely beers at the Jolly Brewer Beer Fest 2017. This is an annual festival run by my local pub, The Jolly Brewer. It's a great pub, I would

Ok, lets not exaggerate too much, autumn, autumn is coming for them. My cucamelon plants started drying off about a week ago and before that there have not been any new flowers for a while now. The newer

Evening all, I've spent a couple of hours tidying the greenhouse today and this gave me the opportunity to have a look at the peppers. One of my plants collapsed under the weight of the fruit. Luckily

Hey, Today I'm going to one of my favourite events of the year, a CAMRA beer fest. This is one of the largest in my area and to say I'm excited to visit it is a bit of an understatement; it's CHRISTMAS

It's been about a week since I haven't touched the tomato plants in the greenhouse, well except for grabbing some fruit for salads, and they've gone feral. They've overgrown their support lines and were

Good morning all, I've been rather lazy when it comes to steeming over the last few days. It seems that now that I'm in my thirties a hangover lasts for a million days and it kills any initiatives, hehe.

About 3 weeks ago I harvested my first bucket grown potatoes and this evening I decided to do another one to see if it would provide a better reward. I had both Sarpo Miras and Mayan gold in there but
