Evening all, After removing the largest lemon cucumber that row of dutch buckets is a lot airier and it's quite a bit easier for me to move around there. Finally my peppers have gotten into gear and there's

Hey, Yesterday I've dried some tomatoes for long term storage and today it's the cucumbers' turn. I had quite a few lemon cucs to use up and the cucamelons needed picking as well. I got two nice bowls

Morning, I had a pretty large tomato harvest the other day and I needed a way to use them up so I've decided to dry them. Full disclosure, they're not really sun dried as I'm using a food dehydrator. To

Hey all, Yesterday was a gardening free day, yes, they do happen every now and then, heh. It was a pretty nice day and I went fishing with a mate. Second cast and this fellow came out to say 'hello world'

Sad day today as the first lemon cucumber I started growing had to go. It did grow large and took over other plants' territory but this wasn't the main reason. Lots of its large leaves were in constant

Evening all! Didn't have the greatest day today, got home pretty pissed off/tired and then I discovered I wasn't the only farmer in my garden. I've got a couple of thornless blackberries that aren't growing

After last week's Norse invasion now we've got an Icelandic Viking hiding between the nasturtiums in the greenhouse. This is a White Ale, brewed in Iceland, 60km away from the Arctic Circle with some of

I've spent a couple of hours today lowering my tomato plants and giving them a quick clean. I've removed a lot of leaves, suckers and pruned some of the fruit trusses. While I was in the jungle, I picked

I'm having a few minor problems in the greenhouse. I think most of them are caused by my watering pattern. For the last 1-2 months my timer has been on 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off between 07:00 and 21:00

I've received a Howler through the mail today; it wasn't one of those screaming letters. It was something way better than that, just as magical though. A few weeks ago I saw an email that said something

Hey, I've been away on a little holiday and came back to find a (lovely)jungle in my greenhouse. It's amazing how quickly plants will grow in 4 days. The great thing about growing hydroponically is that

Yesterday was a bit like graduation day for me; done my first all grain brew. It will be a Pale ale, hopefully with a full body. I've used 3kg of Maris Otter extra pale malt, 500 g of Crystal Malt and
