One of the great things about homeschooling, is being about to teach my daughters life skills!
One of my hobbies is sewing. They see me do it everyday. They drool over my fabric stash.
So, this morning, I sent them to each pick out their own fabric print to make an outfit for their American Girl dolls.
My oldest (9) chose to make a skirt & top. My 7yr old chose to make a dress. They sewn their projects using my grandmother's sewing machine!
Both of my daughters are amazing and bright. They both did a wonderful job with their first garment sewing project.
But my 7yr old was a complete natural!
I believe God blessed my husband and I with our beautiful children, for us to grow, nourish, teach, and shape into wonderful God fesring people.
I try to balance book schooling with life schooling as much as possible.
Homeschoolers, what life skill things do you teach?
