I’m a father of three daughters, and this changed my perspective about how I see life now than before.

People used to ask me, don’t you want a male child?
Today, I just smile. Because I can’t imagine my life any other way.

Being a dad to girls isn’t just about providing, but it’s about watching life unfold in three different ways, every single day.

1. They teach me softness.
   I came into fatherhood thinking I had to be tough, yes. But my girls taught me how to be gentle, how to braid hair even if it's badly braid, losen them and try again and again. Most a times, we do it for pleasure. Also, my second daughter will used white twines to braid my hairs when I'm having my naps.
   

How to listen to stories about dolls, Cinderella and dragons like they’re the most important news in the world, lol.

1. They teach me strength.
   Watching them stand up for each other, fall down, cry, and get back up. That’s courage. They argue, they hug, they make up a minute later. No grudges. I learn from that daily.
   

1. They are blessings I get to witness.
   Their first words. Their first day in school. The way they run to me when I come home tired. The questions at dinner. The silly dances in the living room.
   These are not small moments. These are the whole point.

Daughters are blessings. Not because they are girls, but because of the love, laughter, and light they bring into a home.
To watch them grow, to be around them daily, to be called Daddy, that is wealth no bank can give me.

To all the fathers of daughters out there, just cherish them and love the moments. The messy hair, the loud play, the deep talks. It goes by fast.
