After slaying the zealot Kendall, I carried his corpse on my wolf to test NPC reactions. Enemy soldiers and field workers reacted with confusion, shock, and eventual terror. Upon discovering two Saxon soldiers holding a civilian hostage, I silently assassinated both guards and freed the prisoner.
After eliminating the zealot named Kendall, I decided to sling his dead body over the back of my wolf mount to test how enemy soldiers along the road would react.
The first soldier I encountered gave me a completely confusing look, simply staring in silence at first. Suddenly, he seemed to realize I was hauling the corpse of one of their high-ranking officers.
He scrambled off his horse and pulled out a bow to shoot at me, but I sprinted away on my mount and left him far behind.
Checking back, I noticed him walking toward his horse, assuming he planned to give chase. When he failed to follow, I turned around and rode back toward his position, finding him standing quietly beside his mount as if trying to pretend the encounter had never happened.
The moment he spotted us again, he frantically tried to notch another arrow, but I refused to give him the chance to open fire.
Next, I rode toward a civilian who was working out in a floral field. He froze in complete astonishment at the sight of me traveling with a dead body loaded onto my wolf.
Passing through the floral grounds, I observed how the rest of the field workers reacted. At first, they paid little attention to my approach.
But after a delayed pause, they grew visibly unsettled, backed away in fear, and eventually dropped their work to flee the area entirely. It seemed the NPCs needed a brief moment to process the grim spectacle before panicking.
I continued along the main path, and I spotted two Saxon soldiers who had tied up a defenseless civilian.
I decided to step in and aid the man in distress. As one of the Saxon guards leaned over to examine the dead body draped over my wolf, I quietly stepped up and assassinated his partner.
Before the remaining guard realized what happened or turned back around, I dispatched him with a swift assassination as well, and I was surprised by how smoothly the rescue unfolded.
With both captors dead, I cut the prisoner's ropes before any other patrols could arrive. He thanked me sincerely and immediately sprinted off to safety.
That's all for now.
