While heading to my longship after the raid, I paid an experienced traveler 30 silvers to mark a Book of Knowledge location on my map. Sailing to a nearby river raid, my crew and I quickly eliminated the defenders, including a tough standard bearer, before searching for a way into the locked main house.
On my way to the longship while finishing the raid, I noticed a man with a question mark on him. I followed him and got a prompt to speak with him, discovering he was an experienced traveler who asked if I wanted to know the lore of the land, claiming it was well worth a little silver.
Since I had been scammed by another one of his kind last time, I initially hesitated, but it was only 30 silvers, so I figured it was worth a shot. I asked him about Books of Knowledge to see if I could learn more, and Eivor pulled out his map.
The map updated right then and there, showing the location of a Book of Knowledge, though it was quite a bit far from where I was now.
I wanted to speak with him again to see if I could get more information for a few more silvers, but he said he would need some time to collect more data, so I left him behind.
I ran toward my longship, knowing my whole crew had already gathered there. Taking command of the vessel, I prepared to head toward the next undiscovered location for another raid.
It didn't look like it was very far away, so I commanded the crew to open sail, asking for a song to make the journey fast and keep a calm mind while listening to traditional Viking tunes. There were people all around the riverbanks, and I noticed fishermen on their small boats along the water.
We reached the location in no time at all. Right after getting close, I called for a raid by blowing my horn, and we started by taking down a few enemies on our way ashore.
As we kept fighting and clearing out the guards, I noticed this wasn't a very big location, meaning there weren't an overwhelming number of enemies to deal with.
However, there was a standard bearer I had to be careful with because he could deal serious damage.
Fortunately, since there weren't many enemies around, most of my crew members swarmed in to help me fight him.
I noticed more enemies nearby, and while I was trying my best to take down the standard bearer, one of my crew members actually finished him off before I could land the final blow.
then went after the rest of the remaining enemies, using a special ability on another standard bearer and taking him down immediately. Eivor finished him off using his flag spear, just like he had done to another opponent previously.
After dispatching the last few foes, it was time to look for the wealth. However, the main house there was barred shut, so I needed to find an alternative way to get inside.
After checking around the building, I couldn't find any clear entrance right away.
