Searching for a way to Havana, I synchronized a viewpoint and performed a leap of faith. Facing hilarious shader glitches and frozen NPCs, I got fed up and almost uninstalled the game, but photo mode fixed the freeze, allowing me to easily take down confused guards.
It was time to play as an assassin, and I needed to find a way to Havana. I found another viewpoint that I could synchronize with, and I saw a nice vessel, a boat on the water ahead.
I decided to try synchronizing the viewpoint first before going there. Though it was still super slow compared to other Assassin's Creed games, I figured it was just because of the cracked version, even though it shouldn't have been that slow.
Once that was done, I definitely tried a leap of faith from the top.
Next, I set out to find a ride to Havana. I saw some people ahead who were bound to be my enemies from my first play through. The graphics didn't look very good and were full of glitches, though they seemed to get slightly better over time.
I decided to hide in the stealth zone below first before making my next approach.
I moved in to take down some enemies, but Edward didn't have an assassination option yet since he wasn't officially an assassin. Instead, I started attacking those guards directly.
Looking closely at one guard, his face looked completely 2D. The original version's graphics were far better, though his texture shifted right in front of me.
At one point, he seemed to have two faces superimposed over each other, one with bad graphics and one with good graphics.
The game's shaders were still building, which explained why it was happening, so I hoped it would smooth out once the shaders finished generating.
Further ahead, I saw more guards holding several hostages. Suddenly, I got stuck in place, and I wasn't the only one, the NPCs were completely frozen too.
Everyone was trying to run away, yet no one was moving at all. It was hilarious to watch. While the shaders were still building up, I couldn't find any logical reason for everyone getting frozen in place.
I still needed to free the merchant, but I was completely fed up with the technical issues. I was seriously planning to uninstall the game right then and there.
I felt a bit sad about it because I enjoyed using photo mode to capture amazing shots of the environment, but the constant performance issues made it impossible to continue.
However, right when I exited photo mode, the frozen situation suddenly resolved itself. I decided to play for a couple more minutes and started attacking the guards right away.
While I was taking them down, one guard just stood there doing absolutely nothing as I walked right up to him.
I attacked him and took him down without any resistance because he refused to react at all. It felt like I was playing on the easiest difficulty setting.
