After finishing business at Edmund's Hope, I rode toward a new viewpoint to unlock fast travel. Along the trail, I passed an eerie tree hung with skulls and cages, bypassed several restricted guard posts without fighting, and scaled a massive statue to synchronize the surrounding land.
After finishing up my business around Edmund's Hope, I hopped on my mount and set off toward a nearby viewpoint to unlock another fast travel location on the map. As I rode down the trail, a little squirrel darted out in front of me, spooked by my approach, and scrambled up into the brush.
Further along the path, I came across a massive tree surrounded by man-sized cages hanging from the thick branches. Creepy human skulls and full skeletons dangled from the ropes, while more bones lay scattered across the dirt below.
It was clear that something horrible had taken place here. I looked around hoping to find the people responsible for the gruesome site, but the area was completely deserted.
Leaving the morbid scene behind, I continued riding toward my destination, passing the shoreline where my longship remained anchored right where I had left it.
The path to the viewpoint cut directly through a restricted area guarded by hostile soldiers. Wanting to unlock the fast travel point first, I ignored their shouts, pushed past the perimeter, and kept moving. Though I came back later to take care of them that I talked about in a past post.
Shortly after, I entered another restricted location packed with heavy guards. Rather than stopping to fight, I shoved past the heavy soldiers in my way and kept riding straight through.
Approaching the target, I realized the viewpoint itself was located right inside this guarded area, perched atop a massive stone statue. Leaving my mount at the base, I sprinted to the structure and began climbing the outer walls to reach the top without triggering a full fight.
Reaching the peak of the statue, I synchronized with the viewpoint, opening up a fast travel point and taking in the vast, open lands stretching out below.
That's all for now.
