Clearing nearby guards finally unglitched Galinn's dialogue prompt, allowing me to complete the quest. Afterward, I looted the burning village, found a letter from Wigmund, torched the remaining houses, and accidentally set Eivor on fire during a cart explosion which forced a hasty dive into the river.
As I was not having the option to speak to Galinn, I decided to check around and I found some more enemy soldiers on my way that I took down miserably, hoping it would do the trick, eliminating the stragglers to clear the active combat status of the zone.
Then I noticed this question mark ahead in the water where I found this experienced traveler who offered to tell me about the lie of the land, but I had to pay him for this, handing over some silver coins to reveal new map markers in the region.
Upon returning to the village, I noticed the whole village was burning around and I even called Synin, my raven, to check around the place, as I wanted to switch to the aerial view to scan the village for any overlooked points of interest.
Then I ran to Galinn and this time I could speak to him. After a brief conversation about the victory, the quest was completed, locking in the progress as the notification banner flashed on the screen.
As the quest was completed, I had the opportunity to check on the rest of the advisors, but I decided to check the village around for any possible loot, and I found this letter from Wigmund inside a house.
I went inside another house and found loot, and then I realized there were some houses still unburned.
So I came out and I burned some houses throwing torches above the roofs, watching the dry thatch catch fire instantly to finish the total devastation of the loyalist settlement.
Then I reached this dockside from where I could see an enemy encampment on the other side of the river, noting the position of the guard towers and red banners flapping in the distant breeze.
Then I exploded a cart throwing a torch on a barrel, and I got on fire, was caught entirely off guard by the wide blast radius of the oil reservoir as the flames instantly spreaded to Eivor's clothing.
To get rid of the fire, I ran toward the river and jumped in the water, which let Eivor survive from the flame, as he plunged beneath the surface to cool off the burning armor before the health pool could deplete more.
