Ever get the feeling that you're just marking time waiting on something to happen but ain't sure quite what? Winter is definitely on the wind around these parts and with all that's been going on lately it feels like it could be one of those 'hunker down and bunker up' sorts of winters. I suspect that was behind the wild hair I got today to rearrange things around the house, with so much of what is happening beyond our control it's kinda nice to focus on what you can control and not worry about the rest.
When the pandemic first hit here I was glad that it waited until spring to hit, at least we could go outside and enjoy the nice weather and move around a bit. Now that the nice
weather is fading fast and the pandemic is doing the opposite it's beginning to look like we might soon be comparing winter lockdowns to warmer weather ones. I hate cold weather anyway so posting up somewhere warm and avoiding people until it warms back up doesn't sound too unpleasant to me :) In the meantime I'm going to revisit my photos from warmer places!
Slot canyons in the desert sun (or shade) fit the bill nicely, this shot is from the hike up to the vantage point in the first photo. The lines and light caught my eye, I'm not sure what it is about this shot but I'm a bit partial to it. What's y'alls favorite warm place to run off to?
