I love going to the seaside, I've just been looking at pictures from my visit to Cornwall earlier in the year and thought I'd share them.
Cornwall certainly holds a special place in my heart, I love it down there, I went every year for around 12 years or so right up until the covid lockdowns, sometimes more than once in the same year, the only thing I don't like is that it's a long drive down there from Yorkshire, there was one year it took me ten and a half hours to get home, but that is different story.
The first shot from todays blog is one of the iconic Perranporth Beach, if you are reading this from the UK and remember the television programme called Seaside Rescue, some of the episodes were filmed here.
We also visited the beautiful St Ives, I didn't take my camera as the weather most of the week had been rubbish so I left the camera in the caravan, anyhow, the weather changed while we were at St Ives and ended up getting sunburn.
I'd not been to St Ives for a few years, and I'm not sure why, it is such a beautiful place, I want to go back there at night and get some shots of the beautiful old buildings lit by street light. One thing that did amaze me about St Ives is just how clear the sea was, even on an overcast day you it was just absolutely stunning and very inviting.
We also visited Marazion and St Michael's mount, another one of my favourite places, just outside Penzance, another place I've not properly explored as yet.
This was one of the worst days weather wise, however it didn't ruin the holiday, and we really enjoyed it. we were there a week before a heatwave, but I'm so glad we were then before it as it would have been way too hot for myself otherwise.
I have lots more pictures to post but these are some of my favourites, all shot on the IPhone 14 Pro.
Thanks for reading and all the best :-)
