For people who don't follow me, you might not know but I love night photography, so over the past few months, I've been trying to get some shots, hoping to bag a shot for next years Astronomy Photographer Of The Year, but sadly, I didn't get one, but it's still not too late.

I was recently having a holiday in Norfolk and I've been itching to go to Happisburgh Lighthouse and hopefully get it with the milky way, I was checking and checking the weather and the Tuesday night was predicted to be cloud free. I loaded the car up and thankfully it was only 30 mins or so from where I was staying.

I got there and got my blue hour shot, I took my star tracker so I could track the milky way once it had gotten dark, the weather however had other ideas and decided to cloud over. I did get a nice golden hour shot of the lighthouse too but that's not what I went for on this occasion.

The following week I was in Northumberland, it was a windy night but the skies were like diamonds in the sky, this is a dark sky area in the UK, and just wow, it's amazing how many more stars you can see with the naked eye in a dark sky area. This time I got the tracker out, I wasn't sure if it would work properly as the it was a bit windy, so I kept the exposures at 30 seconds, I shot 48 of these, although I didn't need that many, I just shot more due to the wind, just to be on the safe side. Blended them together and this one is the final shot, for my first attempt with the tracker I absolutely love it.
Anyhow, I decided to blend this with my lighthouse shot to get the shot that I initially went to the lighthouse for, it is now one of my favourite shots, although I am going to return to Happisburgh to get everything on the same night.

Previous to me going away, again I had been checking on the weather and it was supposed to be clear, I headed over to the Peak District to get a shot I wanted, sadly it was cloudy yet again, we did have clear parts, but it wasn't clear enough for the tracker, the above shot was just before the car park as we headed back due to the cloud.

I've had an idea for this shot for a while, but regarding the weather, this kind of stopped me, I wanted to track the milky way while I was in the peak district, the milky way core was supposed to be visible from around 9:15pm, as we sat waiting, a massive cloud bank rolled in, exactly at the time I wanted it to be clear, I managed to get this shot, but I so need to get back and try again, this again is a single shot of the milky way, I do like it, but again, I think I can do a bit better.

I really hope you like the photography on this one, and I hope you've enjoyed the post.

Thanks for reading.
