Although they later claimed to have showed up to separate us from the militia types that had wandered down to the protest early on Derby day, this shot shows what they seemed to be most interested in

Happy Caturday y'all! Anybody doing anything fun? Evander here is all for early mornings but not so keen on cameras during mid-afternoon naps. Tito on the other hand is all about it, especially if the

Wild Wednesday Night

Over the past few months I have amassed a bit of a collection of shots of LMPD at some of their 'finer' moments. This guy here is a major with LMPD and is in charge of their SWAT team. Looking at the news

Talk about dressing for the party, whoever this is certainly did. Considering what happened a little later that (Wednesday) night, it definitely wasn't a bad idea. Things have calmed down here slightly,

These past four days have been some of the most intense, wild, long, and crazy days that I have ever experienced. I intend to go into more detail later but for now I want to give you a little idea of what

I just wanted to throw something up and say I'm still alive. Our curfew has been extended through the end of the weekend and things have been interesting here. I don't have the time to write much about

Kentucky's attorney general announced his findings in the Breonna Taylor case today, and the results were much as I had feared. The only officer to face charges got them for the rounds he'd fired into

As surreal as the reflections in this photo from downtown Louisville are, they don't come close to the way downtown feels presently. With practically no warning, LMPD imposed a lockdown on much of downtown

Tito is very neato He's a big ol' floof, and quite the goof With nary a bit of shame, for he's not to blame Even when the humans are yelling his name! Evander here is a skittish fellow So try not to bellow

Louisville is a city on edge as this weekend draws to a close. Friday saw the announcement that the federal courthouse is closed all week due to the upcoming announcement by Kentucky's Attorney General

I'm about to call it a day (and week) and kick back and relax for a bit. Since it's just about to start getting dark here and the sun is setting on the weekend I thought I'd throw up this shot from Canyonlands

Let's all have some fun and try not to end up like this guy I've been encouraged to participate here so I thought I'd give it a shot, hopefully I'm doing this right :) Weekends are weird for me, I spent

"Lookin Up" Helicopters are the hummingbirds of the aircraft world! This thought came to me unbidden while scrolling through photos of last year's Thunder Over Louisville. I know I posted a photo

Police helicopter banks over a building in downtown Louisville on the 4th day of protests Louisville was back in the news today with the announcement that the city had settled the wrongful death civil

"Sunset in Canyonlands" Since it's just about my bedtime I figured I'd post one of the sun going to bed. Canyonlands National Park in southeastern Utah is one of my favorite places to watch the

Sometimes I get bored with the more mundane editing of photos and instead odd or interesting things I can create out of photos using photoshop. This started out as a photo of one of the taller buildings

Photo from my adventure to the Big 4 Bridge that I didn't get edited until after my Louisville Bridges post. Taken down at Waterfront Park looking across the Ohio River towards Indiana. (Obligatory mention

2020 In A Nutshell I like to listen to music while putting a post together, it tends to help me with ideas and this post is no exception. It was Lucero's 'Everything Has Changed' (see below) that inspired

"Under The Bridge" Under The Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of my favorite songs (especially the live versions), so naturally it came to mind when i was lining up this shot. I may
