Colorado Springs is an interesting place. Not one I'd recommend you visit necessarily, but interesting nonetheless. It's the Colorado version of the good old Bible Belt dry county I'm pretty sure.
Don't get me wrong, there's plenty to see and do there, all these photos are from there. Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, there's more than enough to keep one occupied for a bit.
It's just that the city's raison d'etre seems to be serving as a contrast for the natural wonders in and around it.
It may have changed by now but when I was there in 2017 they were still saying 'We don't like yore kind around here!' to recreational dispensaries. Considering the headquarters of Focus on the Family is there, that's hardly surprising.
Ever go someplace and have a not unpleasant time but you're still in no hurry to pay a return visit?
