It's taken a bit of red tape and a looong wait, but @zakludick especially took the day off to take us to our nearest home affairs office to finally get our new IDs!
It was quite a long drive so I slept most of the way there but I did some knitting while soaking up the countryside on our way back. It was really nice to not have to drive. Thank you @zakludick 鉂わ笍
I've been clinging onto my old Identity book for ages since going to the home affairs office can really be such a mission.
When I got married the 1st time it took me two years to officially change my surname to "Williams" and now that I've been divorced for ages, it took me almost 8 years to change it back!
Well, as of today, I am officially no longer Mrs. Claire Mobey Williams. I am now Claire Mobey, just like it was always meant to be!
I also got a brand new passport which is valid till 2035! My last one expired in 2016. I'm hoping to fill it up with some exciting trips with @zakludick one day!
Then, of course, Aime got her first ID card which means she can now apply for her learner drivers permit and get a bank card in her own name so she can control her money on her own! My car is too big to teach Aime to drive, so I'll be borrowing my best friend's Chevy Spark to teach her the basics, before we send her for proper driving lessons so she can get her actual driver's license when she is ready :)
I've still got two more teenagers to go, but lets just take it, ne teenager at a time :p
