Its hard to believe that on one end of the world, you're getting ready for daylight saving and cooler weather (and scarves would probably make sense to you), while on this end, we have all the windows open, the fan on, but no clothes 🤣👀 A spooky time indeed!! hehehe

My last two scarves were for my dearest friend:

and one for her sister (I still need to make one for her hubby)

And my next one, which I have just finished, is for my bestie's (almost) husband,

and the one after that is a spooky Halloween-themed scarf (for a special someone who we shall not yet name :p - but has their birthday on Halloween).

Both old friends and new, my friends, over the years, have become like family. And, as I have mentioned before, my heart scarves are uniquely crafted for those I hold close to my heart!

This one was incredibly fun to knit. When I first met "Death," as he was so named in the bike club I would soon come to know so well.

Death has always been an incredibly precious brother-type person in my life, and although we have had times apart, we also share so very many memories!

He is also now engaged to be married to my friend, whom I knitted the Cheshire Cat scarf for!

It may seem like it started off as a bit of a boring scarf to knit, being all black and one solid colour, but then you do not know my inner Goth very well 🧛

I did, however, really enjoy attaching the skulls to the scarf!

They were on theme with his previous biker name, Death, as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, which he sometimes still goes by, and he still calls me mine: Snowey!

I wasn't sure how I was going to go about it, but I decided to plait them onto the ends as tassels, which was a heck of a hassle, but totally worth it!

The plaits remind me of a personal story that we share. When we met, he was growing out a very long goatee. I was braiding his beard one night and got the fright of my life when a gecko came scuttling out! I quite like geckos under normal circumstances, but in this case, the poor dear was missing its tail, which led us all to think that there could have been something bigger in there that scared the bejesus out of it, causing its tail to fall off!🤣 At least they can grow their tails back 👀

It is a funny story that we have shared so many times, but it never loses its sparkle: in laughs as well as a memory well shared.

This one is for you, Deathipoo!🖤
