A weak point is one thing every individual has; there is no individual without a weak point. That is why it is said that no human is perfect. There is no human without a weak point. Indeed, God did amazing work in us humans. Most of the time, we try our best to handle our weak points; we can’t be perfect in everything.
This topic just reminded me of something during an interview in my organisation. One of the people that came for the interview my general manager about his weak points, and he said he didn’t have any. My general told him that there is no man without a weak point.
There are many things people consider their weak points. For me, my weak point is procrastination.
Procrastination is my biggest weak point. I am this kind of person who will procrastinate. My parents will allow me to complain about this habit that is not good. They will always tell me that one disease that I have that will be very hard to cure is procrastination.
One thing about someone who procrastinates things is that they don’t take things seriously, even things that will change their life. They will still procrastinate, and at the end of the day, they will lose an opportunity that may never come back.
These weaknesses of mine limited me to many opportunities. I have lost many job opportunities due to this weakness. The last job opportunities I lost due to this act really hurt me. One of my friends who is working in any immigration office sent me a link that they are recruiting in their organisation and I should apply first. He will help me get the job. Day passed, and my friend called to find out if I had done the registration. I said no, but I will do it once I step out of the house. I will go to a cyber cafe and do the necessary registration. I was procrastinating the registration until the registration ended.
When my friend called to ask me the day of my exam, I rushed to a nearby cyber cafe to do the registration, and I found out that they had ended the registration. That is how procrastination made me lose a good-paying job because my friend was ever ready to do the work for me just for me to work in immigration. Procrastination made me lose a golden opportunity, which I know may never come back.
Lastly, I have realised that this weak point of mine has become a very big problem for me; it has limited me to many opportunities. I have lost many things due to procrastination. My elder sister stopped communicating with me due to this act.
My people will always say the best advice one can give to herself is the best advice. I sit down one morning and ask myself some questions: Why can't it change? How can I deal with procrastination because this weak point of mine is about ruining my life?
It is not easy to give up on something that has mastered you, but I am gradually working on my weaknesses.
Conclusion: There is no human without weakness, but we should not allow our weaknesses to take advantage of us or allow people to use our weaknesses against us.
