Do you think that there should be a specific age for exercise
There should not be a specific age when someone can start exercising. Exercise is very important because our body needs it; both the young and the old need exercise. One thing about exercise is everyone has a particular exercise that fits their body.
When we hear about exercise, the only thing that comes to mind for many is going to the gym running on a treadmill or lifting heavy weights. The honest truth is that exercise must not be something serious. Exercise can be simple, as dancing, walking, cycling, and swimming can help us stay active.
The important thing about exercise is doing something that works out well for you and you do it safely. For the young people it can be physical activity, which can be fun playing football, dancing, or participating in school sports.
Life is stage by stage; the moment we become adults, we become so busy with school, family, work, and so on. We find ourselves sitting down for a long period of time at work; this is the more reason why exercise is very important. We must not always spend two hours in the gym, but we can still create time to exercise our body.
Stretching in the morning is an exercise; taking a walk after work is an exercise instead of using a vehicle. As someone gets older, exercise is important; the only thing is that the type of exercise or activity will change. Someone who is older will not do the same exercise with someone who is in their twenties. Which is the normal thing.
Age should never be an excuse to stop exercising. There are many exercises for the age; instead of stopping, we should look for an exercise that will suit our body as we age.
One of the challenges is not finding an exercise routine but being consistent. There are so many days we will feel so energetic and ready to exercise, and there are days we are so weak to exercise; all we want is to lie down and sleep. Exercise is not about perfection but rather about building a healthy habit.
We should never see exercise as punishment; we should not exercise because we dislike our body or because we want to look like someone else. Exercise helps us stay healthy and strong.
Here comes the question: do I currently exercise? I believe that exercise is something that everyone should make room for, both the old and the young, even when life is busy. It must not be a hard workout; the important thing is consistency and choosing workouts that work perfectly for you.
Exercise is one thing that doesn’t have an expiration date. Exercise can be a lifetime habit. You don’t need to exercise like a teenager while you are in your seventies. Your goal should be to keep your body moving. Even if it is less walking or dancing, even if it is ten minutes of exercise. Whether old or young, we should always make time to exercise. For me, there is no age limit to exercise.
