Good day, amazing people of the hive block chain. Welcome back to my blog.
The life we live is full of lessons. Life is not a bed of roses. This is 100 percent right; no human will boost that life if he or she has not thought a lesson. One amazing thing about this lesson is that it helps build us into better people. We will always say experience is the best teacher; experience is the lesson we learn.
The world we are in is all about learning, and we learn every day. As the saying goes, learning is a continuous thing. Most of the things we hold on to are the lessons we learn from life, and they have really added value to our lives. Every lesson has one particular thing it teaches us in life. We don't expect to always have a wonderful moment; those bad moments tell us lessons.
Lessons I have learned.
I will be sharing some of the lessons that I thought were true but were not incorrect.
When I found out that all those things were lies, they were just using them to scare me back.
When I was growing up, my mom would always tell me if I cried, that masquerade would come and carry me, and I would never see her again. She put this fear in me because back then, everyone in the neighborhood knew me as a crying baby, but the thought of masquerade took away the cry from me. The day I found out that my mom had been lying to me, I could not just believe it.
Education is the only way you can be successful. My parents made me believe that without education you will not be successful. They keep telling me that if I want to be successful, I should go to school, but I got to find out that going to school doesn't mean you will be successful. There are many successful people without education.
Another is that if you want a man to love you, make him a nice meal. I used to believe that when I was eighteen, but as time passed, I got to realize that food is not the best way to keep a man. Man who loves you.
Seriously, our elders still remain the best and always look out for us.
This is my response to the weekly prompt, #hiveghana.
