Before I was introduced to the blockchain, what I did online was read and watch videos, chat, and share things on social media. Back then I spent more than three hours online without thinking about what I contributed to the communities I visited. The internet made life so easy it is a place to connect with people to be entertained and also have a pastime.

Coming across Hive, my perspective changed just to understand that being online is more than watching reels and content from influencers; it can be a place I can connect with people, where I create, learn, and build meaningful relationships. Instead of sitting down for hours scrolling on other people's posts, I think about what I can also share for others.

Hive has brought a lot of changes. One of them is consistency. Sitting down and thinking of what to write is not easy at all. There are days that I will have many ideas, and there are days I stare at my screen thinking of what I can possibly write. Joining the blockchain, I have come to realize that most times inspiration does not always have to come before action. Most times I don't have an idea on what to write, but every time I sit down and write, ideas begin to flow.

I have realized that I am comfortable now expressing my thoughts with my experience, observation, or question. I will turn it into something I can discuss. It has really helped my communication and writing skills. People can learn from experience and my opinions even when I don't rate it.

Another nice thing about Hive is the sense of community. With Hive, I have been able to connect with people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. Most of them I have not met physically, but we communicate as if we have known each other for years. We stay kilometers away, but we still communicate and support each other and learn from each other.

Coming across Hive, I have to change my mindset on the way I see digital ownership and value. Before, I didn't care about the value of the content I posted online with Hive; I created it to realize that creating content and blockchain technology can actually exist together.

Hive power and HBD also made me see the platform from another perspective. They are not just names I see on the screen; they represent the different ways the hive system works.

I have learned a lot from other people's experiences. I have thought of myself as patient. I get to know that growth takes time. With Hive, I get to understand that everyone's journey is different. I become more intentional about things I post.

Hive has changed my mindset about the internet. I don’t see being online as a waste of time anymore; rather, it is an opportunity to learn and grow. Hive is not perfect; there are still times of challenges, and periods of motivation disappear.

How has Hive changed your online life? Has it introduced you to new friends, has it made you a better writer, or has it given you more reason to be more active?
