Hey pals... it's a truth at a time, come closer let's reflect on Life together.
This is me saying that Life is too unpredictable to treat people you come across with levity, whether you know them or not. You just don't know where you'll meet them again.
It is very common for people dish out attitudes based on their emotional involvement with the people they interact with, but time and time again, life has taught me that what goes around surely comes around.
I'll say it the way I love to put it: Kindness is not transactional, or at least it shouldn't be.
I've met people in places and they know or met me somewhere and they become very useful at that moment.
Just today, I met a friend for the second time after our first meeting at Seasons International School, only to find out she was in the same Faculty as myself.
And when I was back home, I stepped out to refill my gas cylinder, and a young lady called me by my name, and quickly added that she met me at my workplace.
What kept ringing in my mind was, what if I went to a strange place and she was the only person that could identify with me? Would the impression I gave her on our first encounter make her want to help or hurt me?
I know you'll think I'm exaggerating, but I actually know of people that are praying to God to deliver some people they met on a wrong foot to them in their territory, so they can deal with them.
After having a deep reflection on these experiences, I concluded that we are always as the way we treat others. Little wonder the Bible says, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Life has a way of giving back to us in equal measure, the value we give to our world. Such a profound lesson I learnt today. I hope it helps someone out there.
