So the inevitable happened. My body decided to succumb to Covid after days of battling between feeling okay and not so well. EEEEEEEEEEEK!
For starters, I experienced a horrible sore throat last Friday, which was followed by some bodily heaviness, prompting me to visit a doctor on a Saturday. Antibiotics were prescribed, and they were helpful. The sore throat subsided, but I began to develop phlegm, which began with a runny nose and progressed to a cough. What I'm experiencing right now are typical flu-like symptoms, proving that if you've already got those three immunizations, you'll experience milder symptoms. So yeah, I'm hoping to feel well soon and that my symptoms don't worsen.馃檭
This is how my Brunei Health Code appeared on my phone. It used to be green coded which means healthy, but no longer! I recall it turning red at one point, which signified I was in close proximity to a covid positive. Other colour codes were yellow, which means taking extra precautions for minimal potential hazards; blue, which signifies recovered patients but still undergoing a few days of quarantine; and finally, my current code, purple, which indicates positivity. The positivity I am not looking forward really! 馃槚
Yes, I don't drive. If necessary, I usually pay someone to drive me around, or my friend/housemate will tag me along.
I can't help but chuckle at the sight of being driven home by our school bus. To be honest, I've never had the experience of riding a school bus to or from school, and yet here I am, for the very first time ever, being driven home from school because I am COVID positive.
HAHAHAHAHA!
On a more serious note, fellow hivers, please be cautious. I'm sure you knew what needed to be done, and I'm sure some of you have tested positive already, but an extra precaution don't hurt, right?
Take care!
